The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture is situated in Schwerin, the capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Ministry is responsible for the following ranges of work:
- primary, secondary and grammar schools,
- vocational schools and adult education,
- universities; science and research,
- cultural affairs.
Concerning the schools the Ministry of Education, Science and Cultural Affairs especially concentrates on
- the development of regulations and educational laws,
- the development and review of school concepts, mainly those which improve the quality of teaching,
- the establishment and review of pilot projects which develop new teaching methods and materials, new teaching and learning strategies,
- the teachers’ exchange and the teaching abroad.

The Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern gGmbH is aware of society political order in narrow connection to the Vereinigung der Unternehmensverbände für Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. The organization is the roof of the combine education work structured newly since 1999.
It is the conversation forum of the economy with social groups, like educationalists and professional creators pupils and trainees college teacher lecturers and students, representatives of the church and press to economic and social topics.
About study groups, seminars, conferences and projects we make room particularly for a constructive interchange of the economy with partners from school and university the professional formation as well as authorities and departments. Through this mutual understanding and greater acceptance are promoted.
Members are enterprises and associations as well as private persons.
Our central request is the bridging between the economy and social groups as well as institutions. With events and projects we want to think entrepreneurial and promote behavior as well as economic understanding.
